About Us

When we moved to Montana years ago we didn't have family here. We made friends who became our family and shared holidays and good times. Since we weren't related by blood, and we weren't the in-laws, we became The Outlaws. That is where the diner gets its name. An Outlaw isn't always rebellious or wild. An Outlaw is a friend who became family.

Outlaw Diner is a family run business. We opened in 2019. It is a Ma and Pa business - one of our sons works as a cook alongside us. Alan has many years experience in the restaurant industry and was previously a butcher. He is particular about meat, food quality, consistency and is adamant about food at a fair price. Nikki can be spotted in the mornings and weekends.  Her outside employment in marketing has come in handy for social media and all things web related.

We opened the diner as a place where families could afford to  eat and leave full. The booths have dividers (installed pre-social distancing) as a way to create privacy between tables. It isn't about cramming people into every available space. It is about providing a good meal in a comfortable environment.
